At xxavv6AMES, we’re always looking for ways to improve how we launch updates across our network—whether it's a new game feature, a seasonal event, or a core infrastructure patch. Starting today, we’re officially adopting a new Slow Rollout Model for all of our live services, including:
🔄 What Is a Slow Rollout?
A slow rollout is a staged release process where updates are deployed gradually over a set period of time rather than all at once.
Instead of pushing an update to every server or client immediately, we release it in phases, monitor performance and feedback, and address any issues early on without disrupting the entire player base.
✅ Why We're Making This Change
Here’s why we believe this model is better for everyone:
More Stability
Rolling out in waves helps us catch bugs or performance issues before they affect every player.
Smarter Monitoring
With a controlled flow of traffic on new versions, we can monitor data and feedback in real-time and act faster.
Better Player Experience
By lowering the risk of crashes, lag spikes, or unexpected behavior, we’re making updates smoother and less frustrating.
Developer Flexibility
This gives our devs more time to polish and hotfix without rushing out emergency patches across hundreds of servers.
📅 How It Works
Let’s take the x6MC Network v3.2.0 update as an example:
Instead of instantly updating all Hubs and game modes, we roll out the update across multiple time slots over a 48-hour period.
Players may see the update in their hub sooner or later depending on which node they connect to.
By the end of the rollout window (in this case, April 23 at 3:00 AM EST), all servers will be fully updated.
This same approach will apply to:
📬 How You’ll Know When You’re Updated
We’ll always:
Announce the start of a rollout through Discord, social media, and in-game alerts.
Include a target completion window (usually 24–72 hours).
Share a link to the full changelog or release notes.
You’ll also be able to check if you’re on the latest version right from your main hub or app screen.
💬 Got Feedback During a Rollout?
We want to hear from you. If you spot any bugs or weird behavior during a rollout, please report it:
🐛 Submit a bug report at 6ames.xxavvgroup.com/report
🗣️ Tweet or DM us: @x6mcs
📩 Open a ticket in our Discord support channel
💡 What’s Next?
This model is just the beginning. It opens the door for:
A/B testing in the future (trying new features with small groups)
More stable seasonal updates
More transparent development with progress updates during a rollout
We're excited to start this new chapter of smarter, smoother updates—and we thank you for your patience as we roll it all out (slowly, but surely 😉).
